Thank you, Veterans!

We would like to thank all the veterans who have served our country. Our Veterans Day program will be held at 2:00 p.m. today in the school gym.

3D Design students recently created basic forms by transforming a flat piece of paper into a three-dimensional structure. As part of this project, they designed a food truck template. To test the accessibility and functionality of their design, they collaborated with Ms. Nasi's 3rd-grade class, who helped color and assemble the food truck model. This hands-on collaboration allowed the students to see how their designs could be interacted with by younger audiences.

On behalf of the students and staff of the Wakefield-Marenisco School District, we would like to thank the voters of our community for approving our sinking fund millage. The support of our community is greatly appreciated!

Just a reminder, tomorrow is Parent Teacher Conferences. There will be a noon release for the students.

Tuesday is Election Day! We wanted to share a few more projects that our recently expired 1 mil sinking fund helped to pay for at the school. Some projects include refinishing the gym floor, a new lunchroom floor, a new parking lot, and the new digital sign. Again, the proposed sinking fund on the ballot is also for 1 mil. However, it would allow the district to use funds for school safety, technology, transportation, and building improvements. The expired sinking fund was only able to be used for building projects.

A colorful team!

The elementary staff wishes you all a safe & happy Halloween. 🖍️😄

Election Day is approaching quickly. The Wakefield-Marensico School District is seeking a millage of 1 mill ($1 on each $1,000 of taxable value of home) to be used as a sinking fund for building improvements, transportation, school safety, and technology. Our sinking fund millage of 1 mill that expired this past summer could only be used for building improvements. The recently expired millage helped us with many improvements over the years, including creating a new kindergarten classroom. Please vote on November on 5th!
