Wakefield-Marenisco School District Board of Education Vacancy
The Wakefield-Marenisco School District is seeking applications for a current vacant position on the board of education. An individual will be appointed to fill the vacant position through December 31st, 2028, and will need to file a petition to run in the November 2028 election if they would like to remain in the role.
Interested candidates are asked to submit a letter expressing interest in the position to the district office no later than 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25th, 2026.
Following a review of submitted materials, the board will schedule interviews with the selected candidates. If you have any questions concerning the role of the board of education and the responsibilities of a board member, please contact:

School will dismiss at noon on Tuesday, March 3rd for all students and staff. This will allow for travel time to the boys regional basketball game. We will run a student fan bus if there is enough interest. Congratulations Cardinals on winning the district championship! Best of luck at regionals!!

Our Physical Education class hit the slopes at Porcupine Mountains Ski Area today, and the students absolutely crushed it. They showed awesome effort, improved their skills all day, and had a great time on the hill. I'm so proud of this crew for their positive attitudes!
