The city has informed us that our school will not have power on Monday from 8:00 until 2:00. Therefore, we must cancel school for the day. No school on Monday, September 28th.
The Wakefield-Marenisco Student Council participated in the Community Mental Health's Walk-a-Mile event. This year's event slogan was "Be kind to your mind". The students did a great job helping out with the event
Fitness & Conditioning took a double activity field trip today! We started out paddling on Sunday Lake and headed up the river.
After we went to Split Rock for some biking. It was awesome to see the kids challenge themselves and have so much fun!

We have just been notified by the City of Wakefield that the planned power outage will be rescheduled. Therefore, we will have a regular school day this Wednesday, September 23rd. We will NOT have a 2 hour delay as was communicated earlier.
Fitness and Conditioning students have been having a great time paddling on Sunday Lake and biking on the Split Rock Trails! This fall weather has been perfect for our outdoor units. ❤️💙🚴♀️🌊

Our Fitness & Conditioning students got out on Sunday Lake this week! They spent their class paddling and having a ton of fun!
It was awesome seeing our students enjoy being active outside.
We had such a great time, we’re already hoping to get back on the water again next week!

The Wakefield-Marenisco staff is back and getting ready for another great school year. Yesterday we worked on CPR training. Today we worked on behavior management and student expectations.
Gogebic Miners Junior High Football begins Monday August 17 at 3:00 PM for students in 6th-8th grade. Practice will be in Wakefield 🏈
Just a reminder that Gogebic Miners Cross Country practice has started. All intetested students are to report to the WM track at 8:00 a.m. daily.
