Ms. Yon's first grade class took a field trip to the Wakefield Historical Society and Museum this morning. They enjoyed playing with decades-old toys and learning about many different elements of the past!

Just a reminder that school lunch is free! This is meatballs and gravy over buttered noodles with mixed vegetables, watermelon strawberry cup, and a dinner roll and milk.

3rd graders had a magnetic day of hands-on learning! They explored the power of magnets by rescuing paper clips from a cup of water, guided paper clips through a maze, experimented with magnetic beads, and searched the classroom for objects attracted to magnets.

Through 3rd grade, students learn to read. After 3rd grade, they read to learn. Every Day Counts!

Regular attendance in the early years opens doors to science, history, art, and beyond. Being here early sets the stage for a lifetime of learning!

Our art students have been practicing observational drawing with pumpkin still-life arrangements using paint pastels. They’ve been focusing on carefully observing shapes, colors, shadows, and the details of each pumpkin. The results are turning out amazing, and we’re so proud of their creativity and hard work!

Thank you Wakefield Fire Department for such a fun and educational field trip!

Creative Arts and 3D Design students braved the cold and rain for a day of learning in the Porcupine Mountains. They explored rock formations, learned about the mining history of the Nonesuch Mine, and discovered how artifacts help tell the story of a place. We also learned about the art and design of the interpretive center, where Ranger Katie used research, technology, and problem-solving skills to create engaging, informative displays. A huge thank-you to Ranger Katie Urban for sharing her knowledge and making the experience so engaging and memorable! Our students stayed curious, participated enthusiastically, and made the most of learning beyond the classroom. Thank you to the Friends of the Porkies for supporting our trip with a bus scholarship.

Just a reminder that all students are elgibile to eat breakfast and lunch at school for FREE. Meals are served the the school cafeteria daily.
